CREWKERNE & ILMINSTER DEANERY SYNOD

Synod meeting at Chard St.Mary

1. There were 81 members present.

2. Apologies were received from Derek Poole, Dr Burkhardt and Diana Kershaw

3. The meeting consisted essentially of the Eucharist, with the address by the Rural Dean. A transcript of the address is attached for reference.

4. The Eucharist was followed by informal discussions and refreshments, but papers were distributed concerning

a. The Finances of the Deanery

b. The September meeting of the Diocesan Board of Finance

c. The July Finance and General purposes committee

d. The September meeting of Lay Chairmen

e. Future Deanery activities, for consideration at the next Synod (attached)

5. The next Synod will be at Fivehead on 13^th February 2006.
